Interest Level: 3-5

This is the first book in the Outriders series.  Join Cam Walker and his gang as they plan to break their friend Shelby out of summer school and journey to Blue Cave.  The cave is filled with bioluminescent plankton once every seven years and the group doesn’t want to miss out on seeing it.  Unfortunately, they see a lot more than they bargained for….. two robbers burying a stolen relic from the wealthiest man in town.  They decide to take the relic (the golden sextant) and try to return it to it’s rightful owner.  When the robbers find out, they kidnap Shelby’s little sister Annabelle!  Will the Outriders be able to rescue Annabelle and return the golden sextant to Mr. Thorpe?  Will Mr. Thorpe think they stole the golden sextant?  Read this highly adventurous book to find out.
